Horchata



Ingredients

· 1 cup uncooked rice (white or brown)

· 5 cups water

· 1/2 or 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

· 1/2 cup milk

· 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

· 2/3 cup white sugar





Directions

1. Put water, rice, and cinnamon into blender. Blend for about 1 minute.

2. Let stand at room temperature for at least three hours. Over night is best.

3. Strain out rice and cinnamon. Straining it about three times helps to get the cinnamon out.

4. Stir in sugar, milk, and vanilla.

5. Serve over ice.
