Oreo Cheesecake Brownie Trifle

Ingredients

· Double Chocolate Ghirardelli Brownie Mix

· 3/4 cup vegetable oil

· 1 egg

· 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature

· ¾ cup sugar

· 3 tbsp milk

· 1 tsp vanilla

· 2 ½ cups heavy whipping cream

· 1 cup powdered sugar

· Family pack of Oreos - 15 for crumbs, 21 for layering/decorating

· Chocolate sauce optional


Directions

1. Bake brownies and cool, turn out of pan and cut into small rectangles

2. Take 15 Oreos and separate them. Put cream into mixing bowl to be added to cheesecake filling. Put cookies into food processor and pulse to make crumbs.

3. To make cheesecake filling, add the cream cheese and sugar to large mixing bowl and mix until well combined and smooth

4. Add milk and 1 tsp vanilla

5. In a separate bowl, add 1 ¼ cups heavy whipping cream and ½ cup powdered sugar to make the whipped cream. Whisk on high speed until stiff peaks form.

6. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture half at a time

7. Add 1 ½ cup Oreo crumbs and gently fold in

8. Make another batch of whipped cream for layering

9. Layer brownies, cheesecake filling, whipped cream, Oreos, and optional chocolate sauce

I tried this recipe with a couple of friends and it turned out great! We were able to serve 7 people with plenty of the trifle left over. It refrigerates well, requires little baking (only for the brownies), and is a rich dessert that has a smooth texture. Keep up the good work on the recipes!
